The automatic high pressure trucks washing system is the ideal solution to intervene in the cleaning of the vehicles with a irregular bodywork, because it can’t be treated with the traditional brushes system.
The vehicles involved are in particular those for waste collection and disposal, tankers as well as heavy
vehicles such as trucks, tractors and mechanical loaders for working or earth moving.
The system works in a completely automatic way: once you position the vehicle on the washing track and
stop it at a pre-established point, you can start the washing phases by means of the appropriate push-
button panel or touch screen panel.
The portal, made of galvanised or painted steel structure, is moved by 2 adaptor and 2 idle wheels running along the tracks. In the structure can be installed 2 planks with rotating nozzles with horizontal, vertical and oscillating movement.
The rotating nozzles are equipment that work only with the thrust impressed by the outgoing water; they
act close to the surface on which a real water milling action removes any type of sedimentation present
and at the same time guarantees a perfect rinsing action.
A structure is also attached to the gantry that houses a mobile washing bar that descends and ascends,
with 180° rotation, in order to wet shampoo or foam and through oscillating nozzles and wash both the
front and the roof and the rear of the vehicles. Some washing phases can be excluded from the
programme. The washing system normally uses piston pumps with a flow rate of 240 lt/min. and variable
pressure from 60 to 150 bar, to be defined in the design phase.
The system, through the washing programme (manual and automatic), is able to treat a vehicle of ten
metres every approximately 4 minutes. This is a more than satisfactory result considering the size and
shape of the vehicles examined (underlining the fact that the entire process is carried out without the help of an operator – no other system can guarantee this productivity).
With regard to the washing of irregular vehicles, specifically tankers, Sari also manufactures systems for
the internal washing of tanks.
Operation: the operator goes to the “high” area of the tank, opens the hatch, positions the rotating head
inside by operating a special descender and, once positioned, activates the switch that starts the automatic washing phase.
The first phase consists of the supply of water and a dedicated chemical product based on
the type of dirt, with variable supply time. Then the actual washing process begins with the rotating head
with kinetic operation, which consists in the rotation obtained through the injection of hot water at high
pressure.
The washing phases end with the supply of sanitising and/or perfuming product. If necessary, the washing
process can be completed with a finishing operation using a lance with cold or hot water.
